'Walking on shale up steep slabs and walking along ridge lines, I felt very confident in the grip that the Vibram MegaGrip provided.'
'I climbed up for 2.5 hours, mostly on large, granite rock. The shoes gripped very well for this, and I can’t recall slipping. At one point I was walking on a single cable bridge, and the hiking boots didn’t slip at all. Even though the shoes are a bit large for me, I felt that I had good dexterity to essentially be rock climbing in them.'
'The shoes are surprisingly light weight – 1 pound 3.3 ounces for one shoe of my Men’s 13s (European 47). Much like the company’s jackets though, they feel supportive and protective.'
Fit great right out of the box
Very comfortable right out of the box. This is hard to find in a hiking boot. Great support for my feet. Looking forward to getting these boots out for some longer hikes.
A: Hi Joseph,
Our sizing is European and hence it doesn't always match the US numbering system. Go with the EU 38, US 7.5. Jampui is running slightly small. The US 7.5 will fit best. We have Birch Green, Blue Jean and Black Ash and Light Grey colors in stock.
Thanks,
Kapil
A: Hi Jon,
Our sizing is European and it doesn’t always exactly match the US sizing. That is why you see some sizes missing in between. Jampui is running slightly small. If you try the Jampui EU 42 / US 9.5, it will fit you.
Hope that helps.
Thanks,
Kapil

Mishmi Takin is focused on superior breathability and comfort even in conditions where other's don't breath. That led us to eVent. The critical difference between eVent's technology and traditional waterproof/breathable fabrics is the billions of microscopic pores built in the membrane that work instantly to vent water vapor (sweat) that builds up inside your apparel and footwear when you perform. This "Direct Venting™ technology does not need to get wet to work. It’s a 'dry system' that keeps you dry and comfortable in the widest range of temperatures and conditions. eVent waterproof membrane is Made in USA.
The Made in USA eVent waterproof membrane is shipped over to Italy where Vegam laminates it with foam, lining and insulation to create the final 3 or 4 layer laminate used in Mishmi Takin boots. Established in 1994 and headquartered in Arzignano (VI), Vegam is a provider of high quality technical textiles and bonded materials. As part of its commitment to the environment, for over a decade, Vegam has been producing solvent-free, using only recycled water.
